Let’s just be human.
Once upon a time, I tried to be a businessman. I’m not even sure anymore what that means exactly, but I know that it wasn’t very satisfying.
When we try to be things that aren’t ourselves, it can by definition never be truly fulfilling. What I mean by that is that if you are a square hole, and you are trying to fill it with anything but a square peg.. either the peg won’t fit, or there will always be space that isn’t filled. We usually hear this analogy the other way around, but I think this one is more accurate.
When I started habitgrams.com, I made the conscious decision to be human about it. I don’t want to make business decisions. I don’t want to write a business blog. I don’t want to create a business tool.
I want to make human decisions, write a human blog and create a tool for humans that solves human problems.
So I’m just going to try to be a human.
